About You

FlyData is seeking an experienced support engineer who is passionate about helping customers. You’re a software system detective who loves solving issues by checking clues. Linux is your home and you’re comfortable reading logs and running SQL queries for troubleshooting. You’re a good communicator with sense of humor via email or chat with our customers (few voice conversations).

Responsibilities

  • Being a part of FlyData’s support rotation, respond to customer requests and system alerts
  • Investigate and solve issues
  • Communicate with customers (They have usually engineering background) remotely
  • Escalate an issue to Support Engineering Leader when necessary
  • Provide feedback to Support Engineering Leader to improve customer experience and to automate support process
  • Improve FlyData production environment instructed by Support Engineering Leader

Requirements

  • 3+ year experience as a Linux (Ubuntu) customer
  • 1+ year experience with SQL database queries
  • Passion to solve customer issues
  • Programming experience in any programming language
  • Technology Startup experience required (SaaS is preferred)
  • Have a sense of responsibility
  • Must be located in the US and a US Citizen or right to work in the US. PST/MST/CST time zone is preferred

  • Programming experience to build support tool and automation
