Opportunity

Our corporate Security Department provides cyber and physical services for Parsons offices and projects across the globe. The Security Risk & Compliance & Security Architecture group works with our Information Technology Department, Project teams, and our Business Development groups to ensure compliance with applicable Cyber Security protocols and regulations. The work location is flexible, and the successful candidate can work from their home office or any nearby Parsons office if that is preferred.

Need

The Senior Cyber Security Specialist works toward predetermined goals and objectives in the Cyber Risk and Compliance team. Using your skills, experience and knowledge you will answer security and compliance questions from the business units and project teams, determine and pursues a course of action necessary to obtain desired results, and make recommendations and changes to departmental policies and procedures as needed. While you will focus on unclassified networks, you may also contribute to the cyber security of classified environments.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) and at least 8-10 years of progressive experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization is ideal
  • Strong technical documentation and Visio capabilities
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CEH, GIAC or other comparable security certification preferred.
