Graphic Design Consultant for Peacemaker Toolkit materials - Search for Common Ground - Washington DC - work from home job Company: Search for Common Ground Job description: BACKGROUND Search for Common Ground is the world's largest peacebuilding organization, working on the frontlines of today's most consequential conflicts where millions of lives are at stake. As part of our global efforts in digital peacebuilding, Common Ground USA is developing a Peacemaker toolkit for evidence-based explanations of the dynamics of peace, polarization, radicalization, & extremism and evidence-based guidance on options for a pastor to address them. DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT Common Ground USA is seeking freelance graphic designers to assist in the overall collateral designs for Peacemaker Toolkit. This includes: 1. Peacemaker Starter Pack (4 pages): Introducing text from the Peacemaker starter kit, minus practice card text. 2. Practice Cards (4-5 printable/downloadable cards) 3. Peacemaker Toolkit (40-50 pgs): This document will include an introduction of the problem and its relevant issues (2 pages), a number of scenarios on different issues (15-18 pages), a Handbook on identifying problems and its associated tactics (25-30). Other anticipated pages include a title page, table of contents, etc. The designer will be provided with drafts of these materials which will include some sample images. The designer will be responsible for proposing additional appropriate stock images and creating original infographics. The designer will produce print-ready and digital copies of the toolkit materials and also provide the original art files. The designer should use a cohesive style for all of these Peacemaker toolkits and should work within the instruction on color palette, typefaces, logo usages, etc. from the organization's Brand and Style guidelines. The designer will work directly with the team that developed the content for the toolkit for direction and feedback and should be prepared to make multiple rounds of revisions. TIMELINE The design process is anticipated to begin in early September 2023 and be completed by the end of October 2023. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Generate a number of concepts for page layouts and general outlook of the toolkit materials including: Peacemaker Starter Pack Practice Cards Peacemaker Toolkit * Produce creative graphics in electronic format, adaptable for use in production of print and online materials. Designer should provide print-ready and digital copies and original art files. • Propose appropriate stock photos, icons and other visual assets to use throughout the toolkit materials • Make multiple rounds of revisions of drafts according to feedback received • Ensure consistency of branding and messaging across all visuals Payment for this project will be based on an agreed-upon flat project cost and will be made upon confirmation from Search of the satisfactory completion of deliverables, and the timely submission of invoices from the designer to Search.
