About Job

The Energy Research Engineer will perform RDT&E of moderate complexity by compiling technical specifications, analyzing technical data, determine appropriate analysis methods, identify problems, and develop and implement solutions Develop test plans and experimentation protocols, technology assessment studies, and conducts technical projects Presents research results, prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations Design, planning, and execution of energy and utility experiments Construction and assembly of various experimental systems, including data acquisition systems and instrument/equipment control, wiring of various laboratory-scale devices and systems Manages ordering, receipt, and inventory of purchases, shipments, and equipment. Tracking/inventory of laboratory supplies and parts Assists in equipment management inventory.

Requirements

BS in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or equivalent or MS in relevant field with 0-2 years’ experience related to research and development programs.
Good oral and written communication skills, and experience with MS Windows and Office
Proactive, self-starter who can work independently and, in a team, environment.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
