ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Our advanced nuclear technology client is seeking highly motivated engineers to join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge nuclear reactor projects! There are multiple opportunities available ranging from Junior to Senior and Principal Engineers specializing in the design and development of Fuel Handling and Mechanical Systems. Each role will focus on different aspects of fuel handling, systems design, and equipment engineering, offering a chance to work on transformative projects shaping the future of energy.
Available positions:
Principal Engineer, Fuel Handling Mechanical Design: Lead mechanical design efforts for complex nuclear fuel handling systems from concept to final design, providing technical direction, and coordinating cross-functional teams. Your focus will be on ensuring regulatory compliance, integrating design codes, and overseeing supplier deliverables.
Senior System Engineer, Fuel Handling: Manage system requirements for the Fuel Handling system, supporting design, testing, and system document development. Provide technical leadership, ensuring adherence to standards and facilitating integration with various engineering disciplines.
Fuel Handling Systems Engineer: Specialize in designing fuel handling equipment and systems, interfacing with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions for the next generation of advanced reactors. Contribute to the entire lifecycle, from system design descriptions to supporting construction and testing.
Fuel Handling Mechanical Design Engineer: Focus on designing complex mechanical fuel handling equipment for advanced nuclear reactors. Work closely with other engineers to develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and calculations. Support the full design process—from early concepts to final detailed design, manufacturing, and testing.
Key Responsibilities (Across Roles):
Design nuclear fuel handling systems and subsystems, including equipment and processes from requirements to final design.
Integrate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, controls, civil, nuclear) to develop plant and equipment specifications.
Review and integrate analyses such as thermal, seismic, and structural stress into plant designs.
Develop technical design documents such as System Design Descriptions, Engineering Design Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Propose and oversee testing programs, evaluate results, and support licensing activities related to Safety Analysis Reports.
Provide leadership and technical direction, managing system requirements and overseeing contractor deliverables.
Qualifications (Applicable to All Roles):
