Position Overview We’re looking for a creative, energetic, hard-working, initiative-driven and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to bring Honcho’s voice to life across all social channels This is a hands-on role — you’ll be creating, posting, engaging, and experimenting every single day. You’ll help grow our community and our digital reach/presence, keep our content calendar fresh, well built out and on track, and make sure our social presence feels just as exciting as stepping onto the court. The ideal candidate is a social-savvy go-getter who loves staying ahead of trends, highly acitve on social channels, thrives in a fast-paced environment with high volume content expectations, loves creating content and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to make things happen. What You’ll Do Daily Execution & Content Posting Manage our social content calendar and post regularly across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Write engaging captions that feel authentic and align with Honcho’s fun, energetic brand voice. Capture (both in-front and behind the camera) and edit short-form videos, reels, and photos that resonate with pickleball fans and players. Community Engagement Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, authentic way. Build real relationships with followers, influencers, and league participants. Jump into online conversations about pickleball to keep Honcho visible and relevant. Event Support Create hype content before, during, and after league events, tournaments, and community meet-ups. Partner with the greater marketing team to ensure all event promotions look sharp and on-brand. Be ready to capture live moments from events when possible. Trend Spotting & Ideas Monitor trends on TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms, and quickly turn ideas into content (in-front of the camera and/or behind the camera) Suggest creative campaigns, challenges, and themes that align with both community groupsa nd pickleball culture and broader social trends. Basic Analytics & Reporting Track key metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and share weekly updates with the marketing team. Use data to suggest tweaks for future posts and campaigns. About You Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–2 years of social media experience — internships, part-time roles, or freelance work welcome. Comfortable working with social tools like Canva, Figma, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Skills & Attributes Strong copywriting skills with a knack for short, punchy, and engaging captions and hooks. Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn — you’re an active user who knows the difference between what works on each. Video-first mindset — you know how to shoot and edit content quickly for social, and have a deep track record of doing it yourself with proven success Passion for sports, fitness, or community-based brands (bonus points if you play pickleball!). Highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks without letting details slip. Positive, self-motivated, hard-working, committed, competitive, moves with urgency, and comfortable taking ownership and initiatives of projects and tasks. Requirements
