Design, build, maintain, and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines to support experimentation infrastructure
Contribute to Airbnb’s libraries for flexible, extensible, on-demand analysis of experiments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the impact and usability of the experimentation platform across the organization
Participate in all phases of software development, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and on-call support
Work closely with Data Science partners to integrate advanced statistical methodologies into the experimentation platform
Conduct experiment reviews to understand user interactions, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate feature rollouts
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and accuracy of results computation at Airbnb’s scale
Requirements
9+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality code in production environments
Extensive experience with high-scale, distributed systems, data pipelines, and analytical libraries
Strong background in scientific and statistical computation, particularly related to online experimentation and A/B testing
Experience designing software with ergonomic interfaces tailored for technical data users like data scientists
Proficiency with big data technologies such as Spark, Dataflow, or similar frameworks
Deep SQL expertise, capable of debugging and optimizing complex queries
