The New York Auto Museum (NYA), located in Manhattan, spans over 200,000 square feet and is designed to redefine the automotive museum experience. With features like a massive rooftop patio and partial glass floors, visitors get unique views both above and beneath the displayed vehicles. The museum allows visitors to sit in up to 50 different historical vehicles at any given time, enhancing the interactive experience.
Role Description
This is a contract remote role for Virtual Museum Designers & Animators. The role involves creating and designing virtual exhibits, animating historical and modern vehicles, and developing engaging digital content for the museum's virtual platform. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the museum's team to ensure accurate and captivating representations of exhibits, and utilizing advanced software to create immersive virtual experiences.
Qualifications
• Skills in Virtual Design, 3D Modeling, and Animation
• Experience with Digital Content Creation and Virtual Exhibit Development
• Proficiency in relevant software such as Blender, Unity, or similar
• Attention to detail and ability to create accurate and engaging representations
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with remote teams
• Degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Digital Media, or related field
• Knowledge of automotive history and culture is a plus
